The seventh WCM Summer School was attended by 46 participants and hosted in Oirschot in The Netherlands. ASML provided the case study. The case evolved around ASML’s latest Extreme Ultra Violet (EUV) technology. After more than 15 years of development, EUV technology was finally transitioning from ASML’s customers’ R&D fabs to High Volume production. This important milestone comes with an steep expansion of ASML’s installed base. The challenge for the Customer Support department is to set up and mature an entire service organization, capable to support and maintain this growing installed base of products which still have many unknowns and require continuous industrialization
