The WCM Summer School is organized since 2012 by World Class Maintenance in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense (hosting the event). The history page shows pictures and facts with regard to previous editions.
2018 (August 6-10 2018)
The seventh WCM Summer School was attended by 46 participants. ASML provided the case study. The new EUV machines were key subject of the case.
2017 (July 31-4 2017)
The sixth WCM Summer School was attended by 45 participants. The Royal Dutch Navy/ DMI provided the case study about the subject ‘Design for Maintenance’. The new M-frigates were key subject of the case.
2016 (August 1-5 2016)
The fifth WCM Summer School was attended by 52 participants. Schiphol provided the case study about the subject ‘Design for Maintenance’. The renewal of Pier C was key subject of the case.

2015 (3th of August – 7th of August)
The fourth WCM Summer School was attended by 51 participants with seven cooperating universities. NedTrain provided the company case this year about a ‘smooth introduction’ of new trains.
2014 (18th of August – 22nd of August)
The third WCM Summer School was attended by 53 participants with seven cooperating universities. The company case was this year provided by Liander with a case company visit at IEO transformers on improving the sustainability and circularity of transformers used in the electricity grid maintained by Liander. The closing ceremony was organized in de Grote Zaal of Het Kasteel (former crown room of the Nassau’s).
2013 (26th of August – 30th of August)
2012 (27th of August – 31st of August)
The first WCM Summer School, which was held in 2012, was attended by 54 participants from industry, academia and the Dutch military. Six universities worked together to prepare special workshops for this Summer School. Besides the seven workshops a case study prepared by BASF Antwerp and Stork Technical solutions on Zero Based Budgeting was studied by the participants. At the end of the week the results were presented in the soccer stadium of Breda.
