Participant profile
We look for young professionals (within 10 years after graduation) and Master/PhD students with at least a Bachelor’s degree in any technical subject. If you are close to obtaining such a Bachelor’s degree or holding a bachelor’s degree or higher and a strong interest in Maintenance Management & Engineering you may apply as well.

Evaluation (ECTS)
Full attendance is required to obtain the certificate. 2 ECTS will be assigned upon completion of the WCM Summer School. If you are a (PhD) student it is up to students’ home institutions as to how much credit is finally awarded but we are happy to advise them and if necessary provide them with the course program.

If you want to participate apply and fill in the online WCM Summer School application form (before June 1st 2025)!

Tuition fee
For students, company professionals and Defense participants there are different fees to join the WCM Summer School program:

  • Master student: € 125 (excl. VAT and lodging)
  • Master student: (incl. basic lodging): € 250 (excl. VAT)**
  • PDeng/PhD student/postdoc or University staff: € 725 (excl. VAT and lodging)****
  • WCM member: € 2625 (excl. VAT and lodging) (including discount for silver, gold and platinum members, up to three 3 participants)
  • Defense participant * (applying for scholarship) (€ 1575 excl. VAT, incl. free lodging at military barracks)***
  • Defense participant * (not applying for scholarship) (€2625 excl. VAT, incl. free lodging at military barracks)***
  • Company professional (or other): € 2875 (excl. VAT and lodging)****

Lodging options

  • No lodging
  • Basic lodging for master students: € 125 **, (excl. VAT)
  • Basic lodging for other participants: € 175** , (excl. VAT) (including breakfast)

* For platinum, gold and silver partners of World Class Maintenance there is a reduced application fee (max. 3 applicants per company).
Special scholarships are available to participants of the Ministry of Defense, first applicants are given the scholarship.

**By basic lodging we mean lodging at the “Luitenant-Kolonel Tonnetkazerne”. The rooms are efficiently furnished, you share the room with another person (of the same gender). Shower and toilet are shared with another room for two people. The cost for basic lodging, including breakfast, €175 (excl. VAT) for Monday to Friday (note that master students get a lodging discount). You have the opportunity for additional lodging (without additional cost) on Sunday only if you are able to check in between 16:00 and 16:30 on Sunday (highly recommended to arrive already on the Sunday afternoon). For the lodging there is no refund possible.

*** For military participants we will arrange lodging at the academy. Please let us know if you want to make use of lodging at the kazerne.

**** If you do not choose basic lodging, you can book yourself a hotel room in the area (15-25 minutes travel time to the base “Legerplaats bij Oldebroek”). You will pay the actual costs of the hotel room and will be invoiced directly by the hotel.

Invoice and charging
The fee for the Summer School will be charged to you by invoice. The invoice has to be paid before July 1st 2025.
1) It is only possible to apply for the whole week. If you are accepted you will be informed mid June 2025.
2) The organisation has the right to cancel the Summer School if there are not enough applications.
